Solitaire was born in London in 1989 - the only daughter of a sound recording specialist and a singer - and naturally was attracted to the performing arts from an early age.
Her parents encouraged training in drama, dancing (ballet, jazz, street & tap) and singing (including opera), and Solitaire developed a particular love for the musical theatre early on. Throughout her childhood and early teens, she participated in West End musicals, including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Little Shop of Horrors and one-off plays from Anton Chekhov's Seagull to Low Level Panic.
After completing a 2-year BTEC course in musical theatre at Westminster Kingsway College, Solitaire participated in numerous children's TV shows like Jim Jam & Sunny and movies including singing in Terry Gilliam's feature film Tideland, Peter Richardson's Churchill The Hollywood Years and Michael Palin's Himalaya television series. Her knack for accents and good quality speaking voice landed her a string of voice over adverts.
Back in London, after a course at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, she has been concentrating on song-writing with the intention of pursuing a pop singing career. Through her father, she met producer Roberto Danova who was impressed by the winning combination of her artistic talents, personality and image.
Her first single - THE FORCE - will be followed by a 15-track album of original compositions, which will roll out her great versatility.
Published by Quatermass Music Ltd. (PRS/MCPS - London).
