Michel de Nostredame was born in Provence on 14 December 1503 and died 2nd July 1566. He dedicated the 63 tumultuous years of his life to medicine, astrology and philosophy and became the greatest prophet of his age, advising the eminent rulers of his day. To avoid persecution as a heretic, he recorded his many visions in a secret code and deliberately confused the time sequences of these future events. He was witness to terrifying and catastrophic future events which he continued to set down in his writings in the hope that his warnings would be heeded.
